WINTER TIME IN JAPAN

This is what it looks like in Japan during winter season. Beautiful sceneries all over Japan. Many people are going for sightseeing, taking souvenir pictures, even though it's getting colder now. That's why I like Japan, especially on this season. Lovely different colors of trees , mostly on the mountain side. This pictures were taken during our trip to Mikamoyama Park, Tochigi Prefecture , and Nikko .

The mountainous region  of Nikko is so enchanting that as long ago it attracted the attention of priests.  Protected by the imposing Mount Nantei, Nikko is sorrounded with shrines and temples that arose out of the many forms of worship that were practiced in the "light of the sun." As Nikko was regarded as a very holy place, the first of the shoguns decided to build his mausoleoum here. In 1999 UNESCO designated the shrines and temples of Nikko a World Heritage Site.
